CAT 2023 NOTIFICATION:

Get ready for an exciting opportunity as the Indian Institutes of Management gear up to conduct CAT 2023—a computer-based Common Admission Test. Mark your calendars for November 26, 2023, when the exam will unfold in three sessions. 

The official CAT 2023 NOTIFICATION has been released on 30th July 2023 with details about CAT 2023 exam date and registration dates.

Registration opens: August 02, 2023 (10:00 am)
Registration closes: Extended till September 20, 2023 (5:00 pm)
Admit card download: November 7 – November 26, 2023
Test date: November 26, 2023
Result declaration: Second week of January, 2024

ELIGIBILITY:

  • You must have a bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent CGPA.
  • If you belong to the reserved category (SC/ST/PwD), you must have a minimum of 45% marks or equivalent CGPA.
  • Candidates in their final year of graduation can also apply for this exam.

CAT 2023 REGESTRATION FEES:

SC, ST and PwD category candidates: ₹1200

All other categories of candidates : ₹2400

The fees can be paid through online mode only. after completing payment process candidates receive email notification.

Please note that a candidate needs to pay the registration fees only once, irrespective of the number of institutes he/she is applying for. Fees once paid cannot be refunded under any circumstances.

IMPORTANT
Candidates must declare and maintain a valid and unique email account and a mobile phone number throughout the selection process.

TEST CENTERS:

The CAT exam will be held in numerous test centres, spread across approximately 155 vibrant test cities. To add to the convenience, candidates are empowered with the freedom to select any six test cities based on their preferences.

CAT 2023 NOTIFICATION: EXAM PATTERN

The exam consists of three sections – Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (VARC), Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (DILR), and Quantitative Ability (QA). The duration of the exam is 2 hours, and each section has a time limit of 40 minutes.

Here’s a breakdown of the CAT exam pattern:

This exam has both multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and non-MCQs. MCQs have negative marking, while non-MCQs do not have any negative marking.
